Caring for your laminated bow

A few simple habits that keep a Paragon shooting well for years.

Caring for your laminated bow

Laminated bows are easy to look after, one of the reasons Robert builds them. A few habits keep them that way.

Keep it cool and dry

Heat is the main enemy of laminates. Don’t leave a bow in a hot car or next to a radiator. Store it unbraced, flat or hanging, somewhere dry.

Look after the string

Wax the string now and then and check the serving where the arrow nocks. Replace a frayed string before it lets you down.

Inspect it

Every so often, check the limbs, overlays and tips for lifting or cracks, especially after a knock or a fall. If something looks wrong, stop shooting and get in touch.

Leather and decoration

Leather grips and suede arrow passes appreciate an occasional leather conditioner. Wipe decorated limbs with a soft, dry cloth.

Travel

Every Paragon ships with a bow bag. Use it whenever the bow leaves the house.
